Freelance Gallery

Welcome to my freelance gallery, a look back at 25 years of creativity and growth. Each piece represents a chapter in my journey, from early explorations to today’s refined work. Together, they tell the story of evolving skills, style, and passion for design.

Event Collateral: Style & Versatility

This collection showcases a range of event fliers I designed for several different music and art collectives over the years. The core challenge for each was to tailor the visual style to that collective’s unique brand and the event's specific vibe.

You'll see a lot of variety here, from bold and vibrant designs to more minimalist or elegant looks. This project really demonstrates my versatility and adaptability in graphic design, proving my ability to create promotional materials that are not just engaging but also highly effective for a wide variety of events and target audiences.

Chase Bank: Cash Back Incentives Handout

Chase Bank tasked me with designing a handout to effectively showcase their new cash back incentives. The core challenge was making complex financial details clear, informative, and visually appealing for the average customer.

I focused on a professional, engaging design using clean layouts and concise copy to immediately highlight the key benefits and enrollment details. This piece was distributed to customers to boost awareness and drive enrollment in the new program, demonstrating my ability to create effective, high-stakes financial promotional materials.

Motoric Music: Brand Identity

I developed the foundational logo and identity for Motoric Music, a small independent techno label based in Chicago.

The client brief was unique and focused: the design had to be directly inspired by the literal definition of 'motoric,' suggesting a steady, propulsive, driving rhythm. To reflect the minimal, rhythmic nature of their techno sound, I translated that concept into a clean, energetic mark. The final design successfully embodies motion and repetition, resulting in an effective, modern logo that perfectly aligns with the label's aesthetic and core musical focus.

Boots On The Ground: Veteran Support Logo

I designed the logo for Boots On The Ground, a vital mental health resource dedicated to veterans. The client requested something simple and identifiable, a mark that quickly conveys support, strength, and reliability.

I created a straightforward yet impactful logo featuring clean lines and a bold symbol that subtly represents both the military and mental health support. The final design successfully communicates the organization's critical mission and provides a strong, easily recognizable visual identity for this important resource.

Arts with Hearts: Promotional Materials

I created a series of eye-catching promotional materials, including business cards, for a local charity made up of artists and musicians from the community. The goal was to design pieces that were both vibrant and professional, reflecting the charity's creative spirit while providing clear contact information.

I used bold colors, artistic elements, and unique typography to capture the essence of their mission and the talent of their members. The final designs successfully served as a memorable introduction to potential supporters and collaborators, proving that professional communication can still be dynamic and fun.

Mario Tricoci Salon: Giveaway Handout

Mario Tricoci Salons requested a promotional handout to announce an exciting prize giveaway. The design challenge was to make the piece immediately vibrant and attention-grabbing while still aligning with their brand’s upscale, polished aesthetic.

I created a dynamic and visually appealing handout that used simple, stylish visuals and concise, engaging copy to highlight the opportunity and entry instructions. This handout was successfully distributed in salons to generate buzz, attract participants, and maximize engagement with Mario Tricoci’s major prize promotion.

Everything Better: Hemp-Infused Lotion Label

I designed the packaging label for Everything Better's new line of hemp-infused lotions. The goal was to visually reflect the product's natural, soothing qualities while maintaining a clean, modern, and appealing look for the retail shelf.

I focused on a design that used subtle, organic elements with clear typography. The resulting label successfully captures the essence of the product and aligns perfectly with the brand's commitment to high-quality, natural wellness products.

Saint Marks Lodge #63: 175th Anniversary Hoodie

Saint Marks Lodge #63, a local Freemason lodge, commissioned a custom graphic design to create commemorative hoodies for their 175th anniversary.

The challenge was balancing reverence for the lodge's rich history and traditional Freemason symbols with a design that was genuinely modern and wearable. I developed a timeless and meaningful graphic that incorporated key Masonic elements, the lodge's name, and the milestone year. Using bold yet refined visuals and high-quality printing, the final hoodies became a proud and unified symbol of heritage for the members.

Pops & Kickoff Pizza: Menu Refresh & Dual Branding

Pops Pizza & Sports Bar approached me for a menu refresh, needing a design that was modern, visually engaging, and easy for customers to navigate. I updated the menu with clean layouts, vibrant visuals, and clear typography to highlight their full offerings.

Simultaneously, they were launching a new location, Kickoff Pizza & Sports Bar, and needed a complementary logo. I carefully replicated the familiar style and feel of the Pops brand to ensure instant brand recognition while giving Kickoff its own fresh identity. Both projects successfully captured the energetic spirit of their business and enhanced the customer experience across both locations.

All Projects

Punk Rock Vector Illustration

This project was a great curveball that really showcases my versatility. A client came to me requesting a bold, punk rock–style vector graphic, specifically an aggressive, even divisive aesthetic that was completely outside my usual design comfort zone.

That's what made it so valuable; it highlights my ability to completely adapt to a client’s unique creative vision, no matter how far out it is. The final graphic successfully delivered on the requested edgy, high-impact style, proving I can step into any design lane required by a project brief.

Les Turner ALS Walk T-Shirt: Rosie's Riveters

I was commissioned to create a custom team t-shirt design for the Les Turner ALS Walk in Chicago. This was a highly personal project, as the design needed to honor the client’s late mother, serving as a meaningful tribute while uniting family and friends. The final graphic served as a proud, visible symbol of support for ALS awareness and remembrance at the event. This project highlights my ability to handle sensitive briefs and create emotional, unifying designs.
